Types of band sawing machines

According to process requirements, it is divided into two types: log band saw machine and slitting band saw machine. The log band saw machine is the main saw of the band saw lumber factory, used for cutting logs and sawing board and square materials. Usually, a sports car band saw machine or a dual link log band saw machine is used. The diameter of the saw wheel is mostly 1067-1829 millimeters, with a maximum of 3658 millimeters. On a typical single serrated sawing machine, intermittent sawing of logs is carried out on a vehicle, while reciprocating sawing of double-sided serrated sawing machines can improve work efficiency by 30%. The transmission of sports cars mainly includes three types of continuously variable transmission methods: friction wheel rope reel, thyristor rectifier DC motor, hydraulic motor, etc. The dual band saw machine adopts continuous feeding mechanisms such as chain conveyor and card arm.

The slitting band saw machine is further divided into the main band saw machine that divides the rough material into two parts: the main band saw machine that divides the sheet metal into thin plates, and the belt saw machine that divides the sheet metal into thin plates. In addition, there are several other classifications of band saw machines:

① According to the diameter of the saw wheel and the feeding mechanism, it can be divided into: heavy-duty sports car large band saw with a diameter of 1524mm or more, 1067-1372mm light sports car large band saw, 1067-1219mm split band saw machine, and 400-800mm fine woodworking band saw machine.

② According to the rotation direction of the saw wheel, it can be divided into a right-hand band saw machine that rotates clockwise and feeds wood from the right side, and a left-hand band saw machine that rotates counterclockwise and feeds wood from the left side.

③ According to the tension device of the saw blade, it is divided into two types: a double column lever type ordinary tension device band saw machine and a hydraulic pressure high tension cantilever band saw machine, with a tension force of 2-3 times that of the former.

④ According to the relative position direction of the two saw wheels, they are divided into vertical band saw machines, horizontal band saw machines, and inclined band saw machines. The horizontal band saw machine is only used in China to cut the veneer into rough edges, and other countries are also used to cut precious hardwood logs.

⑤ According to the combination of saw machines, they are divided into single band saw machines, double band saw machines, four or multiple band saw machines. The dual band saw machine is further divided into: a dual band saw machine for logs and a desktop dual band saw machine for rough square cutting boards. They are mostly a combination of left and right hand tandem band saw machines, but there are also two right-hand tandem band saw machines, while the four tandem band saw machines are all tandem band saw machines.

⑥ According to the presence or absence of blade heads, it can be divided into: ordinary band saw machines without blade heads, sports car band saw machines with single blade heads, and dual and quadruple band saw machines with double disc blade heads.
